THE POWER OF COLLABORATION IN SHAPING QUAYSIDE'S VISION

Quayside Impact Limited Partnership (QILP) and Waterfront Toronto have partnered to bring the vision for Quayside to fruition. Together, we aim to create a dynamic, inclusive, and resilient waterfront community – a place for people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and incomes. Here, residents will have access to the needs of daily life like shopping, food, recreation, mobility, and parks and public space.

The Quayside vision has been shaped by ongoing public engagement. We are dedicated to actively engaging with our neighbours, stakeholders, and the general public to further refine this vision. Over the past year, the QILP team launched an outreach initiative featuring a traveling Quayside pop-up. Spanning 10 weeks and visiting 7 diverse locations across Toronto, our mobile booth engaged with over 1,200 individuals, allowing us to gather their valuable perspectives and insights on Quayside.

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU

The purpose of our outreach initiative is twofold: to inform the greater community about the Quayside master-plan and seek feedback from the public on the vision, guiding principles, and plans for this new waterfront neighbourhood.

We are thrilled by the overwhelming support and excitement for Quayside. During our engagement process, the public was most interested in learning about the following:

  • New parks + public spaces
  • 2-acre community forest
  • Waterfront promenade activation
  • Affordable housing
  • World class architecture
  • Sustainable building practices

The questions, feedback, and considerations shared by participants at the pop-up events have been noted and will be used as one of the many inputs to inform the process for refining the Quayside master-plan.
