October 2020

From October 13 – 25 we hosted a series of engagements to provide the public with an update on the next stage of the project and seek feedback on the project goals for Quayside—resilient, inclusive and dynamic.

The full summary of feedback received from this engagement is detailed in the Quayside Engagement Summary Report – October 2020 Public Consultation.

Pre-October 2020 Engagements

On the following pages you will find an overview of Waterfront Toronto’s consultation activities related to the previous work with Sidewalk Labs, including before and after submission of the draft Master Innovation and Development Plan (MIDP). While the proposal is no longer applicable for Quayside, the public feedback heard during this time continues to inform our thinking as we consider new plans for Quayside.

The Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) is a small, focused group made up of representatives from interested and affected stakeholders and organizations as well as those with specific expertise related to the project.

The SAC plays a critical role by:

  • Acting as a sounding board for the project team to share and discuss ideas and findings
  • Providing guidance, critiques and suggestions on proposed approaches, concepts and materials
  • Proving a sense of the broader community’s reactions and concerns and how they might be addressed
  • Providing a forum for two-way communications between member’s organizations and the project team
